Not only are pets loyal, but they give us unconditional love, keep us company, decrease stress and more.
Being separated from your pet while on travel assignment, can cause tremendous anxiety. We love animals and as pet owners ourselves, we welcome pets because we know all too well, the feeling you get when you walk through the door and are greeted by those excited little faces. It is hard not to feel a sense of happiness with that wagging tail or kitty curling their tail around your leg, as they shadow you.
Not every place you will find when searching for #furnishedhousing is in a position to accommodate pets. Some will specify “no pets”, “small dogs only”, “no cats”. We welcome cats and dogs of any size and/or breed. We have dedicated half of our #fullyfurnished guest suites to being #petfriendly and we actively work to make the travel process easier for you and them. We provide a few pet-friendly amenities; water bowls, dog beds, crates, litter boxes, dishes and outdoor play areas. We welcome up to 2 well-behaved pets at a small pet fee. Other perks include:
- Private fenced-in yards with dog relief areas and waste bags.
- Nearby #parks with walking trails.
- Cat litter boxes (we suggest bringing your preferred litter brand and scratching posts).
- Crates to house your pet when they are left in the guest suite unattended. We suggest that guests bring along your pet’s bed and/or favorite blankets to help create a familiar place for them to rest while you are away at work or checking out the local attractions. We have a few pet policies to help ensure the safety and comfort of your pet. We advise against leaving pets unattended for long stretches of time, and recommend Rover the world’s largest network of 5-star pet sitters and dog walkers. They are a convenient and easy-to-use pet care service that we have used ourselves on multiple occasions for Luna, our property manager’s little tortoiseshell cat, (see photo). Luna was adopted in December 2020 from Foothills Animal Shelter, and true to tortoiseshell cats, Luna has lots of tortitude. This little cat marches to the beat of her own drum. Rover has a wonderful list of services that help make for a worry-free day for our guests with busy work schedule, or with needs that pull them away from their fur babies.
- Weekly cleaning using pet-friendly cleaning products.
We always take a little extra time to prepare for guests arriving with pets, by putting out a few pet treats, bowls, a list of recommendations for nearby pet-friendly recreation areas, pet sitters, local veterinary clinics and urgent care facilities. We have 24 Hour Veterinary Emergency Group, located less than 10 minutes from the properties, and neighborhood pet supplies stores like Petco also nearby. Can’t find something at Petco? Place your order with Chewy and have it shipped to your guest suite.
