We believe in sustainability and authenticity, which is why some of our gently used furniture has visible scratches—kept intentionally as part of the Kenyan home aesthetic, emphasizing humility and functionality rather than concealing imperfections.

We welcome all cats and dogs, including shedding breeds, while ensuring a well-maintained space. To balance fairness and cleanliness, our pet policy includes structured fees and deposits (per pet with a 2 pet maximum) to encourage responsible pet ownership.

🐾 Pet- Friendly Stay – Pet Policy
We only accept responsible pet parents who prioritize their pet's well-being. Pets cannot be left unattended in the suite for more than four hours. Pet owners must arrange proper care to prevent separation anxiety, neglect, and lack of food or water while they are away. Additionally, dogs must be taken out regularly for walks and must have companionship, especially in a new environment, to help ease stress and ensure their overall well-being.

- Crating: Dogs must be crated if left unattended (crates available).
- Outdoor Supervision: Dogs must never be left alone in the yard.
- Furniture Rules: No dogs on beds/couches unless covered.
- Waste Cleanup: Owners must dispose of pet waste properly (immediately picked up, bagged, and placed in non-recycling trash bins).
- Litter Box Requirement: While we provide a clean litter box for your use during the stay, guests must provide their own non-tracking litter.
- Furniture & Shedding Cleanup: Guests must vacuum weekly; lint rollers & vacuums provided.
- Scratching Prevention: Guests must bring a scratching post and covers to protect furniture.
- Supervision: Cats should not be left unattended for extended periods.

🔒 Booking Requirements
To ensure a safe, seamless stay, we have a few simple measures in place:
- Government- Issued ID Required – Valid ID for all adults on the reservation. Primary renter must be 25+.
- Rental Screening – Required for guests booking direct.
- Travel Insurance ( Required for Direct Bookings): Travel insurance provides an added layer of protection for both guests and hosts. It covers cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances, accidental property damage, and other disruptions that might occur during your stay. This ensures peace of mind and a secure experience for everyone.
- Lease Agreement – A lease is required for all stays to ensure clear expectations.
- Refundable Damage Deposit – A $600 deposit is collected for incidentals, plus an additional pet damage deposit for pet-friendly stays ($400 per pet). Refunded promptly after checkout.
- Third- Party Bookings: We do not accept third-party bookings. The person booking must be the one staying. This policy is in place due to past issues. Direct bookings lead to smoother, more respectful experiences for everyone involved.
- No Instant Booking – While we do not offer instant booking, we aim to operate efficiently as such, requiring completion of booking within 24 hours to ensure a seamless experience and avoid the risk of cancellation or decline of the request.
- Additional requirements may apply for guests with no platform history/no reviews, such as travel insurance.
