Suite 35B: Your Cozy Transitional Housing Solution

Our goal is to offer affordable, Curated Comfort, ensuring a well-maintained and welcoming space for every guest. Through a selective booking process, we prioritize responsible guests to maintain exceptional service and property standards.

Suite 35B is a garden-level unit in a quiet Lakewood, Colorado cul-de-sac, designed for guests navigating life’s transitions. Whether relocating, traveling for medical purposes, or attending an event, this pet-friendly space is ideal for small groups or families of up to 4.

Situated on a multi-family property with Suite 35A above, it offers privacy, separate entrances, and a shared central heating & cooling system.  A welcoming space with an authentic Kenyan touch - Designed for simplicity, comfort, and function.    You’ll notice that our decor includes rare pieces imported directly from Kenya, along with gently used furniture (excluding mattresses, linens, T Vs, and TV stands—all of which are new). The gently used pieces have some visible scratches, which we purposely keep as part of the Kenyan home aesthetic, focusing on humility and functionality rather than hiding imperfections.

We welcome all cats and dogs, including shedding breeds, while ensuring a well-maintained space. To balance fairness and cleanliness, our pet policy includes structured fees and deposits (per pet with a 2 pet maximum) to encourage responsible pet ownership.

    🧼 We professionally deep-clean the grill weekly (typically early morning Saturdays or Sundays in time for lunch BBQ), and ask guests to kindly clean after personal use. Propane is provided by your host, so all you need to bring is your appetite and favorite grillables!

🐾 Pet- Friendly Stay – Pet Policy

We only accept responsible pet parents who prioritize their pet's well-being. Pets cannot be left unattended in the suite for more than four hours. Pet owners must arrange proper care to prevent separation anxiety, neglect, and lack of food or water while they are away. Additionally, dogs must be taken out regularly for walks and must have companionship, especially in a new environment, to help ease stress and ensure their overall well-being.
Other specific guidelines:

🐶 Dogs

  • Crating: Dogs must be crated if left unattended (crates available).
  • Outdoor Supervision: Dogs must never be left alone in the yard.
  • Furniture Rules: No dogs on beds/couches unless covered.
  • Waste Cleanup: Owners must dispose of pet waste properly (immediately picked up, bagged, and placed in non-recycling trash bins).

🐱 Cats – We Proudly Cater to Cat Owners!

  • Litter Box Requirement: While we provide a clean litter box for your use during the stay, guests must provide their own non-tracking litter.
  • Furniture & Shedding Cleanup: Guests must vacuum weekly; lint rollers & vacuums provided.
  • Scratching Prevention: Guests must bring a scratching post and covers to protect furniture.
  • Supervision: Cats should not be left unattended for extended periods.

  • NOTE - Accommodation Suitability:  We understand that some guests may travel with infants or toddlers. While our property is not baby-proofed and does not provide supplies (cribs, highchairs, gates, etc.), we are open to accommodating guests with children under the following conditions: a. A 3x to 5x refundable security deposit may be required to cover potential damage or wear and tear. b. A double cleaning fee will be applied to account for additional time and effort. c. Children must be supervised at all times and are not allowed to run or play indoors. Outdoor play in designated areas (yard, porch, etc.) is encouraged instead. d. Guests are responsible for bringing their own baby/toddler supplies. If you agree to these terms, we welcome your request and look forward to hosting you.

To ensure a safe, seamless stay, we have a few simple measures in place:

  • Government- Issued ID Required – Valid ID for all adults on the reservation. Primary renter must be 25+.
  • Rental Screening – Required for guests booking direct.
  • Travel Insurance ( Required for Direct Bookings): Travel insurance provides an added layer of protection for both guests and hosts. It covers cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances, accidental property damage, and other disruptions that might occur during your stay. This ensures peace of mind and a secure experience for everyone.
  • Lease Agreement – A lease is required for all stays to ensure clear expectations.
  • Refundable Damage Deposit – A $600 deposit is collected for incidentals, plus an additional pet damage deposit for pet-friendly stays ($400 per pet). Refunded promptly after checkout.
  • Third- Party Bookings:  We do not accept third-party bookings. The person booking must be the one staying. This policy is in place due to past issues. Direct bookings lead to smoother, more respectful experiences for everyone involved.
  • No Instant Booking – While we do not offer instant booking, we aim to operate efficiently as such, requiring completion of booking within 24 hours to ensure a seamless experience and avoid the risk of cancellation or decline of the request.
  • Additional requirements may apply for guests with no platform history/no reviews, such as travel insurance.

Walk-in stall shower with great water pressure. We provide guests with Starter supplies. Guests are responsible for replenishing for their own use. Guests must maintain a clean-living environment when renting from us. We do stop by bi-weekly and monthly to complete mandatory unit cleanings and sanitation.

Mgeni Room is the Back bedroom with beautiful Kenyan Artwork showing a little African boy and beautiful dancer. This space is great to house your guest (Mgeni in Swahili).
