From friendly climate, lots of local attractions, to great vibes, in this small, big city that is Denver, there is a little something for everyone, young and old. There are not a lot of places in America that can combine urban and mountain experiences as well as Denver metro.    Like many cities, expect to see some homelessness.

This listing is close to public transit, stores, parks, restaurants, coffee shops & dispensaries. 10 minutes from the Mile High Broncos Stadium and closer to multiple hospitals for the traveling nurse professional. Minutes from Downtown Denver (which houses 50+ independently owned CO restaurants/boutiques/activities!). Convenient to DIA, light rail & bus lines.

Quality School districts (JEFFCO Public Schools).  Easy commute to nearby campuses and hospitals/healthcare facilities, for students and healthcare professionals.

We have many parks nearby; Aviation Park, Morse Park Neighborhood, James J. Richey Park, Edgewater State Park, Citizens Park pavilion, Citizens Park, Memorial Park and Spring Ridge Park. For the sport enthusiasts, we are only minutes from Coors field and Empower field at Mile High (the Denver Broncos stadium). Want more culture? The Colorado state Capitol building, Denver Art Museum, Air & Space Museum just off of the famous Colfax Avenue. Want to be close to Denver - without the Denver prices, this is the perfect rental space!  Not so far from us is the Denver Botanic Gardens, Downtown Aquarium, Big Blue bear & more attractions.

The area is very walkable and bikeable.  Also has good transit with many nearby public transportation options. 10-minute walk to the Wadsworth light rail station.  You can also take a short 15-minute Uber/ Lyft ride to Downtown Denver.  Lots of ski resorts within easy drive.  Bike to the nearby Sloan’s Lake to enjoy a run around the lake.

ABOUT THE SUITE

Suite 35B is a beautiful and spacious Garden Level unit on a privately owned small multi-family property in Lakewood Colorado.  It is one of three 2 bed/1 bath guest suites on the property and immediately neighbors suite 35A, both with their own private entrance.

All 3 suites are located on a quiet cul-de-sac, offering guests a small community to form friendships during your short stay. We have a beautiful, shared backyard complete with mature fruit trees, raised garden beds and BBQ sitting area with grill, great for spring, summer and fall where guests can socialize with family, friends or others within this small community. 

Entry into the suite is via the north side of the building through the gate that opens into the beautiful backyard, a welcome oasis amid the city’s busy everyday living.

The suite has a single flight of stairs, upon entry, that leads into a beautifully decorated living room with LVP flooring, and plenty of lighting.  “ Art is a Language meant to speak the things that can’t be said.” John Demarco.  The entire suite is decorated with authentic Kenyan artwork that makes the spaces feel warmer, cozier and peaceful.   Beautiful Kamba Carvings made out of ebony and rosewood, feature prominently.  These make for excellent conversation starters giving you, family and friends A TASTE OF KENYA IN DENVER, COLORADO.

  • KITCHEN: boasts a fully stocked array of appliances, including a microwave, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, and toaster. Coffee & tea aficionados will appreciate the stainless steel tea kettle, coffee pot, and French press, complete with complimentary coffee and tea ( Kenyan brands included). Additionally, we offer ample cookware and starter supplies like dishwashing soap, dishwasher pods, paper towels, and basic spices. Bon appétit!

  • Single steep flight of stairs, which may pose safety concerns for those with infants, children, or mobility issues. This suite may also not be suitable for those with allergies to basic cleaning supplies.

KEY REMINDERS:

  • Conditional 3rd Party booking allowed.
  • If booking alone, 1 unregistered overnight guest is allowed for up to 3 consecutive nights (total 2 occupants). All additional overnight guests must be registered as fees apply. ( Unit max is 4). See lease for details.
  • Applicant-paid Rental screening and 30-night minimum required for all locals booking a stay.
  • Booking Requirements:
  1. Govt. Issued ID: All adults.
  2. Lease Agreement.
  3. Damage Deposit: $600 refundable within 7 days of checkout. An additional $600 refundable for those traveling with pets (up to 2).
  4. Limited pet supplies provided: water/food bowls, pet beds and pet agreement.  $50 per pet up to 14 nights / $100 per pet after 14 nights up to 30 nights prorated after. Fees double where pets are later discovered as undisclosed.  Fees are due before check-in or within 24 hours of request following policy violation.

Guests are required to clean up after their pets. This includes promptly picking up pet waste and helping to remove pet hairs, especially for pets that shed heavily. Failure to do so may result in an automatic extra cleaning fee of $125.

  • Service animals: Must be disclosed to protect your rights.  Cannot be left alone in the suite and must follow all pet policies or be removed.  NOTE: under Colorado law, it is a criminal offense to misrepresent an animal as a service animal. C.R.S. §18-13-107.7.
  • MONTH-TO-MONTH: We offer flexible month-to-month leases. For longer stays, Travel Insurance is required as we do not offer refunds. First and last month’s rent are due at booking.
  • For payments, the name on the card used MUST match the name of the guest booking. No partial payments. AMEX not accepted.
  • No check-in or early check-out? Sorry no refunds.  Please consider TRAVEL INSURANCE.
  • Cleaning is completed at check out or every two weeks for longer stays and is billed at $125 per cleaning visit.
  • Violation of the outside-only-smoking or the no-undisclosed-animal policy, will result in $300 extra cleaning fee and cancellation of stay without refund.
  • BBQ Grill available for guest use, last snowfall ~ end of April to first snowfall ~ mid October.
  • WILDLIFE: Due to the nature of the area, you may encounter some wildlife.
  • SNOW REMOVAL DURING WINTER: Complimentary and limited to driveway. Schedule may vary (determined by service provider).  Shovels provided. 
  • API integrated listing & host is the merchant on record.
  • Garden Level apartments are not for everyone and sensitivity to noise and other elements differs between guests. White noise machines provided in bedrooms, but if noise or other element is a concern, please consider any of our upper-level units.
  • As with many Garden Level Apartments, this suite can get cold. For guest comfort, we provide extra blankets, space heaters and advise shutting off AC vents which works for most.  If unsure, please consider booking our other suites instead.
  • EXTENDING YOUR STAY: See lease. 
  • Mistakes happen and we do not like cancelling stays. That being said, there are penalties for rule violations (see lease).

Walk-in stall shower with great water pressure. We provide guests with Starter supplies. Guests are responsible for replenishing for their own use. Guests must maintain a clean-living environment when renting from us. We do stop by bi-weekly and monthly to complete mandatory unit cleanings and sanitation.

Mgeni Room is the Back bedroom with beautiful Kenyan Artwork showing a little African boy and beautiful dancer. This space is great to house your guest (Mgeni in Swahili).
