There are not a lot of places in America that can combine urban and mountain experiences as well as Denver and nearby metropolitan cities which includes Lakewood, CO.

This listing is close to public transit, stores, parks, restaurants, coffee shops & dispensaries. 10 minutes from the Mile High Broncos Stadium and closer to multiple hospitals for the traveling nurse professional. Minutes from Downtown Denver (which houses 50+ independently owned CO restaurants/boutiques/activities!). Convenient to DIA, light rail & bus lines.

Quality School districts (JEFFCO Public Schools).  Easy commute to nearby campuses and hospitals/healthcare facilities, for students and healthcare professionals.

We have many parks nearby; Aviation Park, Morse Park Neighborhood, James J. Richey Park, Edgewater State Park, Citizens Park pavilion, Citizens Park, Memorial Park and Spring Ridge Park. For the sport enthusiasts, we are only minutes from Coors field and Empower field at Mile High (the Denver Broncos stadium). Want more culture? The Colorado state Capitol building, Denver Art Museum, Air & Space Museum just off of the famous Colfax Avenue. Want to be close to Denver - without the Denver prices, this is the perfect rental space!  Not so far from us is the Denver Botanic Gardens, Downtown Aquarium, Big Blue bear & more attractions. 

The area is very walkable and bikeable.  Also has good transit with many nearby public transportation options. 10-minute walk to the Wadsworth light rail station.  You can also take a short 15-minute Uber/ Lyft ride to Downtown Denver.  Lots of ski resorts within easy drive.  Bike to the nearby Sloan’s Lake to enjoy a run around the lake.

ABOUT THE SUITE

Suite 35A is a huge and spacious unit (about 1200sq ft) with its own single car garage and private sunroom, offering panoramic views of a beautiful backyard.  It is one of three 2 bed/1 bath guest suites on a privately owned small multi-family property in Lakewood Colorado.  The suite immediately neighbors suite 35B, both with their own private entrance. 

All 3 suites are located on a quiet cul-de-sac, offering guests a small community to form friendships during your short stay. We have a beautiful, shared backyard complete with mature fruit trees, raised garden beds and BBQ sitting area with grill, great for spring, summer and fall where guests can socialize with family, friends or others within this small community.  The suite has an upgraded kitchen and bathroom as well as a walk-in private laundry room. Relax in the comfy Adirondack chairs on the front porch, where you can enjoy a breeze when not in the sunroom or backyard. 

Huge windows in this suite make for a bright, naturally lit space that you and those in your group can enjoy, as you entertain family and friends.     We also have shades, blinds and blackout curtains to help adjust the lighting to your comfort levels. 

We bring life and the spirit of Kenya into the guest suites with authentic colorful Kenyan art, helping spark interest and curiosity while also adding color to the space.  Beautiful Kamba Carvings made out of ebony and rosewood, feature prominently.    This gives you a unique living experience and A TASTE OF KENYA IN DENVER, COLORADO.

  • Flexibility for our long-term guests with month-to-month lease agreements.
  • Amenities include extra power strips, AC and Heat, high-speed Wi- Fi, dedicated workspaces, and the option to rent extra monitors for a small fee. The property is conveniently located near Fed Ex printshops for your printing needs.
  • Free assigned parking plus attached one-car garage.
  • LIVING ROOM: Wall-mounted 75” Sony smart TV with streaming apps and a ROKU STICK, (sorry, no local cable), alongside comfy leather couches and unique, gently used furniture. We’ve also left behind some board games, including chess boards crafted from authentic Kenyan wood.
  • KITCHEN: boasts a fully stocked array of appliances, including a microwave, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, and toaster. Coffee aficionados will appreciate the electric tea kettle, coffee pot, and French press, complete with complimentary Kenyan coffee and tea. Additionally, we offer ample cookware and starter supplies like dishwashing soap, dishwasher pods, paper towels, and basic spices. Bon appétit!

  • SUNROOM: Indulge in breathtaking panoramic vistas from your private sunroom

  • This is a dedicated pet-free unit.
  • Tub and Shower Combo with excellent water pressure and temperatures. Hair dryer, first-aid kit, sewing kit and a variety of starter supplies.
  • 2 spacious bedrooms with closets and dressers providing ample storage.

NOTE: (things to know)

  • This home is not equipped with support bars in the bathroom (toilet or tub). If traveling with guests that need mobility support to include but not limited to access ramps or support bars, we may not be a good fit.   We might also not be the best fit for guests with allergies to basic cleaning supplies.

KEY REMINDERS:

  • No unregistered overnight guests. 
  • Not suitable for infants.
  • We also offer house share options great for students, interns or traveling professionals on a budget.
  • Booking Requirements:
    • Applicant-paid rental screening (if relocating to Denver, paying month-to-month or current LOCALS staying over 29 nights): Required of the person making the booking.   
      • No evictions within the last seven years, proof of employment and verifiable income: GROSS monthly income of 2X the monthly rent.  Portable tenant screening report prepared by a consumer reporting agency, within the last 30 days accepted.  Such report must be made directly available to the landlord by the agency at the tenant’s request and expense. NOTE:  Where a lease is signed and guest checks in, we deduct this amount from the 1st month’s rent, allowing you to recoup your application fee when you book with us.  (receipt required). 
    • Govt. Issued ID: All adults on the reservation.
    • Lease Agreement: A lease agreement (1 night or 29 plus nights).
    • Damage Deposit: $1000 refundable (for $1000 worth of damages) or a monthly non-refundable damage protection fee of $50 instead of the $1000 for $2000 worth of coverage.  NOTE:  This fee also covers damage from animals for those traveling with animals.  Please inform the host of your preference during booking (HOLD or non-refundable monthly damage protection fee).   Unfortunately, this fee cannot be pro-rated for shorter stays.
  • For payments, the name on the card used MUST match the name of the guest booking.  Please note that we do not accept partial payments. Full payments required at time of booking.  
  • Please consider TRAVEL INSURANCE. 
  • Outside Only smoking in Designated areas.  Violation of this policy will result in a $300 cleaning fee and cancellation of stay without refund. 
  • $100 cleaning fee up to 30 nights. Fee prorated at $3.30 per night for stays over 30 nights.
  • WILDLIFE SIGHTINGS: Due to the nature of the area, you may encounter some wildlife. 
  • SNOW REMOVAL DURING WINTER: Complimentary and limited to driveway.  Please note that the schedule on this also varies and is determined by the service provider.  We leave behind shovels in each suite for use by guests as needed. We remind guests to use caution when walking on wet pathways that may still contain melted snow or ice.

We provide guests with Starter supplies. Guests are responsible for replenishing for their own use. Guests must maintain a clean-living environment when renting from us. We do stop by bi-weekly and monthly to complete mandatory unit cleanings and sanitation.

Enjoy some quiet sleep in our Themed Bedrooms with blackout curtains. Twiga Room is the Front bedroom with beautiful Kenyan Artwork of the Giraffe. Did you know that Giraffes are the tallest mammal in the world? They can grow up to 5.5 meters. Even new-born giraffes are taller than most humans. Giraffes can also stand half an hour after being born and they even sleep and give birth standing up! Simba Room is the Back bedroom with beautiful Kenyan Artwork of the famous scene from the lion King on one of the accent pillows and a beautiful painting of the African Lion. Did you know that lions are the only cats that live in groups? Cats tend to like to hang out on their own, but not these cats. Also, the female lions are the main hunters. While they are out looking for food, the males guard the pride’s territory and their young.
